Who uses Twitter?

As I company we currently don't use Twitter. We're based in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. I know Twitter is extremely popular with companies in the US, but can it help us in Europe? It is very important for companies to be part of the social network scene, but with the likes of Facebook and others, do we really need Twitter? What do you think?
